Infant

Entry to the Infant Department is either direct from the Nursery or by assessment and interview. In the formative stages, literacy and numeracy are the mainstay of the timetable, so our pupils gain a strong foundation for the academic challenges ahead.

As children progress, so the curriculum begins to broaden and our subject mix from the ages of four to seven ensures a balanced curriculum.

We aim to instil good working habits and homework is set throughout the Infant (Keystage 1) department.

During the Infant stage, we encourage pupils to be caring , supporting and considerate and to begin to develop independence.
