Our business is to know everyone as an individual and to provide a secure and caring environment so that every pupil can learn in safety. We expect respect, good manners and fair play to be shown by everyone so that every pupil can develop his/her full potential and feel positive about him/herself as an individual. All pupils should care for and support each other.
At St Pius X Catholic Preparatory School and Oak House Nursery, we believe it is important to work with parents and carers to help keep children safe. In this respect, we try to keep up to date as much as possible with current issues and concerns. We use a variety of sources to do this, for example, net-Aware.org.uk for on-line safety and the NSPCC for training and resources.
If you’d like to know more about the NSPCC’s work or take a look at the wide range of information and advice which is available for parents and carers, please visit their website nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/keeping-children-safe/
