Pre-School – Extra Curricular Activities – Spring Term 2019

 Petite Acting Academy

The Petite Acting Academy specialises in providing imaginative drama classes for children aged 1 – 5 years old. During each session, the children will go on an exciting and interactive story adventure written specially by the Petite Acting Academy. The adventures include drama, movement, imaginative play and song. The classes complement all seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage. They increase confidence, boost self-esteem and nurture imagination. They also encourage communication, observation, problem-solving, thought sharing and decision making.

These classes take place on a Wednesday afternoon at 1.15pm throughout the year and last 45 minutes per session. The cost of each session is £3.75 and payments are made directly to the petite acting academy via their online booking system on their website http://www.petiteactingacademy.co.uk.

 The first session is Wednesday 16th January and the final session is Wednesday 3rd April. (There will be no lesson on Wednesday 20th February due to half term.)

Pre-School Tennis     

Stuart Grice is a Level 3 qualified tennis coach from Broughton Tennis Club. He will operate tennis lessons for Pre-School children on a Thursday afternoon, 2.30pm – 3.15pm. Lessons will take place in the school hall or on the tennis courts. Please provide your child with trainers, shorts, t-shirt and an appropriate shower proof jacket.

The cost of each lesson is £6.00 per session and payment is made directly to Roots Tennis via their website www.rootstennislessons.com.

The first session will be Thursday 17th January and the final lesson is Thursday 4th April. (There will be no lesson on Thursday 21st February due to half term.)

 Rugby Tots

Rugby Tots supply a fun, structured play session that takes children on a journey of sporting imagination. Energetic coaches support the children every step of the way and teach the children how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team.

Lessons will take place on a Tuesday afternoon, 2.45pm – 3.30pm. They will take place on the field or in the school hall. Please provide your child with trainers, shorts, t-shirt and an appropriate shower proof jacket.

Rugby Tots offer an 11-week block course with the first session being Tuesday 15th January and the final session will be Tuesday 2nd April. (There will be no lesson on Tuesday 19th February due to half term.) The cost of each session is £4.50 and payment is made directly to Rugby Tots via their website https://www.rugbytots.co.uk/

Please note there is a minimum of 8 children needed for the session to run and a maximum of 12 per session. If the session is oversubscribed there will be two sessions provided during the afternoon.

Ballet

Ballet lessons are taught on a weekly basis by Martine Proll. This artistic dance form performed to music develops coordination, expression, suppleness and strength, using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures

Lessons will take place on a Thursday afternoon. A ballet uniform is available to buy directly from the Ballet teacher. Lessons cost £53.00 per term and payment is made directly to the ballet teacher via their website www.fitchettproll.co.uk.

The first lesson will be on Thursday 17th January and the final lesson is Thursday 28th March. (There will be no lesson on Thursday 21st February due to half term.)
