SCHOOLS’ GOTTA SING
CHARTER THEATRE, PRESTON
After much rehearsing and even a practise in front of the whole school, Mr Stout and the St Pius Choir were ready to perform at the Charter Theatre in the Schools’ Gotta Sing Concert.
The atmosphere was electric, the noise was deafening and the support from all schools involved was unmistakable. As the acts performed on stage it was clear that the standards were very high but, as St Pius is wont to do, our choir rose to the occasion and performed perfectly – in voice and in volume. A ripple of applause was heard as Siri began her solo “Cry Me A River” – the responce one would receive in a Jazz Club I believe – not that we would know!
All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and even overcame performance nerves by dancing in the wings to other schools’ songs! The children, as usual, were a credit to St Pius in manners, behaviour and confidence.
Well done to all involved, and thank you to Mr. Stout and Mrs Adewale for all their preparation and hard work.
